The new MixPre II series comes with a soft, black rubber sleeve that makes using the headphone encoder extremely easy with just one finger (no more tweaking your fingers down the edge of your bag just to make adjustments!) But the sleeve is very soft and easily lost.

This replacement sleeve is made of a flexible plastic that is harder than the original, but still soft on the fingers and easy to attach. It just presses into place and stays put. The design is a copy of the factory supplied version and was re-created by us in-house. Made in red to match the other colors and also to be easy to find in a sound bag.

We have worked with production sound mixers from all around the world to design and perfect a set of fader knobs for Sound Devices recorders. The stock factory knobs are sharp to the touch and hard to see in dark conditions or in a bag. These knobs are designed to feel very nice on the fingers with smooth, sculpted edges. And easy to see because they glow after exposure to light.

Large fader knobs sit 1.5mm higher than the factory knob for easier access. Small fader knobs sit approximately 4mm higher than the stock knob and do not retract flush like the stock one does. All knobs feature a main color along with a phosphorescent white section that glows green when exposed to light. After exposure, the knobs will glow for a while.

Installation is easy: remove your stock knob by loosening the set screw with included Allen keys and pull factory knob off. New knob installs just like the OEM knob with a small set screw to secure the position.

These are custom replacement knobs for all models of the Sound Devices MixPre line. They will work on the 1st and 2nd generation of the MixPre 3 / 6 / 10. They will not work on any other Sound Devices models. The knobs are custom-designed by us and produced using the best materials available. These knobs are only sold by Bioluminous and not available anywhere else.

We created these knobs to have several features:
- Bottom part has thick glow-in-the-dark part for easy viewing on dark sets and studios
- Top part is in color and is viewable from all angles
- Knob is sculpted to make it easy to adjust based on feel without looking
- Top has embedded stainless steel screw to allow for easy one-finger adjustment

Kit includes 12 different color knobs, hex key and a keychain UV lamp for charging the glow.

Installation is very easy:

1. Remove your existing knobs using a pair of pliers with thick tape wrapped around the jaws to protect knob (factory knobs are sometimes tight). We recommend purchasing the Engineer PZ-55 Screw Grip Pliers which are superior pliers that we have been using daily for many years.

2. Transfer rubber o-ring to new knob and put knob into place. Press down slightly while gently tightening the set screw (one on each side). The o-ring serves two functions: to seal against moisture and debris from entering and to provide the knob with some turning resistance. If the knob turns too easily, you can press harder to engage the o-ring more tightly and/or clean the rubber o-ring with alcohol. Make sure the o-ring has not slipped into the socket.

3. You can remove and replace these knobs as many times as you want. They are made of a resiliant plastic that can take lots of use without degrading. And they will not deform under heated conditions that would ruin many other typical aftermarket knobs.

4. The glow-in-the-dark feature works by charging the knob with a bright or UV lamp. We supply a small keychain UV LED light. Once charged, the top of the knob will glow for a little while, long enough for a take or long set.

This is a custom designed case that perfectly fits the Teenage Engineering TX-6 Field Mixer (without the 1/4-inch adapter attached). It is made of a high-strength polymer that closely matches the color of the blue leather on the rear of the device. Your field mixer simply drops into place and the case closes and secures with two latches. The screws that hold it together are stainless steel.
